Hey! I’m Jas. I began my photography journey in middle school developing film with my dad in our home-made dark room. I LOVED watching the picture appear in the solution and experimenting with all the ways I could alter the photos development. This lead to me studying Film, TV and New Media where my adoration for art composition met moving images. In 2023 I met Marty from MartyKPhotography and began learning event photography from him. My previous experience with studying visual art and film gave me a head start, allowing me to fully focus on the practical side of event photography. Marty educated me on EVERYTHING. Manual camera settings, how to edit,  networking skills, and the various processes involved in a standard event shoot. Now that I’m in my third year of working in the photography industry and comfortable in the field I’m branching into new spheres! Currently I’m learning the video basics! I shoot on a Nikon Z6.3 which allows for both photo and video. I shoot with Nikkor Z 24-70mm and 70-200mm f/2.8 S lenses so I can provide both close-up zoom photos and wide angles for clients. I always wanted to work in an arts based career and I get so much fulfilment and enjoyment from being in the events world. Each day I get to learn new things, meet new people and improve my talents. Being flown out to Adelaide for a Data3 convention was such an accomplishment for me and I look forward to doing more travel gigs!! Overall I love providing gorgeous photos to my clients and smiling to myself when I see them being posted to socials.
